The November 5 elections are looming large.  Grants Pass v. (Jackson County) Oregon (2024) was cited with removing Trump from the Voter Pamphlet in violation of Trump v. Anderson (2024), angling for a federal appeal of Samoss v. O’Malley, Commissioner of Social Security 24MD977K02345-C1, from the United States District Court in Oregon, after possibly slaying three retired judges of the International Court of Justice in August. 

 

Vote for colored candidates from either party, aiming for a Republican majority.  Voters should be informed the split ticket vote is for Harris and a Republican majority in a Congress where the Speaker is not from the State with the highest rate of incarceration, to make up for the absence of any credible review of the counting of the vote (and fraudulence of Democratic Secretaries of State and murderous white Democrats unchecked by racist white Republicans) under 3USC§15. 

 

The United States is held in Trust of three percent inflation for services and limit on debt sales as percent of the GDP, true to IMF economic growth rates.  A younger President is needed to have any hope of surviving the calculus of the arteries it will take to produce the first honest accounting of the federal budget, balance and GDP, whereas, after two elder scams, the current numbers are so incredible, bond cannot be posted to legitimize the fraud, like SSA did the 2020 payroll tax overestimate.  The US did not bailout the agencies or sell as much debt as they overvalue, to the bankruptcy of national accounting.  The General Fund has a trillion-dollar balance remaining from COVID, just like the EU.  I am now turning my attention to the current account balance, in which the true size of the US budget makes a statistically significant difference in the global total, and will have to uphold and update the statistical Atlas for the next President of the UN Assembly, although I would rather edit Sustainable Trails HA-24-9-24 

 

The HA homepage has been renovated to keep the US happy.  Supplements have been appended to the original historical statute, that is now indexed by section in its original glory, as annotated to indicate amendment and repeal, www.title24uscode.org  

 

A 23r^rd edition of the Constitution of Hospitals & Asylums Non-Government Economy (CHANGE), I won’t bother you with, is needed to change Art. to Article, dual mandate to inflation, and balance to budget; to set the stage for major work republishing the library of the Statutes at large comprising Title 24 of the US Code to create a just and lasting 24^th ed. www.title24uscode.org/CHANGE.pdf   

 

Having witnessed two subsequent Democratic administrations snuff out whatever color Obama infused in his Habitat for Humanity, is former President Carter prepared to rescind his only fatal error and amend Title 22 of the United States Code Foreign Relations and Intercourse (a-FRAI-d) to Foreign Relations (FR-ee) and Court of International Trade of the United States (COITUS) to Customs Court (USCC), before he dies, or must Harris win without his full-support of Art. 61 of 22^nd ed. CHANGE? 

 

I finished section-hiking the Triple Crown on Friday October 18, 2024 after six years, age 50.  Work on this newsletter was delayed by the 2022 fire side-slope bush-wack through thorns growing in full-sun on the Deming Gila alternate route, and the time to publish the October newsletter is today.  The 200 miles Black Hill red line is open but depressingly burned, and the shorter alternate routes are always more popular for this 200 to 300 mile resupply at Pie Town.  Gila National Forest trail system needs maintenance funding, second only to the recent 200 miles of blowdowns from Hurricane Helene on the entire Triple Crown. 

 

Twin Sisters are dry this fall and like many desert communities, there is no public pool or shower, for 25 miles to a standing puddle with a natural bench and campfire pit and 35 miles to a hot-spring and pay campground, I will visit before deserting the Fort Bayard private campground proposal.  The area is so dry there might not be enough water to sustain new public housing and the HUD obligation for the abandoned HA buildings there, might be limited to abatement, to the consternation of the urban renewal in nearby Santa Clara.  In the Fort Bayard community, it looks like you have to take the free bus and pay a one-time $15 membership fee to the college gym, whose swimming pool is closed for the winter, but is subsequently free on further visits, while the lunch might be free, the commute limits work at the library to a quarter of a day.

 

The Triple Crown will always be a refuge from climate change that can be climbed to reach cool temperatures and clean surface water, above the road and the cows, in pristine wilderness in the summer, and descended to escape the freezing rains in the mostly developed valleys in the winter.  The temperate rainforest on the Appalachian Trail was the only one of the three mountain chains I was able to thru-hike.  Only those who are able to walk thirty miles a day seem to be able to outrace the forest fires on the Pacific Crest Trail anymore, and snow on the Continental Divide Trail, where 25 miles a day may be enough to beat the snow with an extended summer, whether thru-hiking south or flip-flopping north.  20 miles a day is said to have been par for pioneers and is the most I can expect from myself, in mild to moderately mountainous terrain, going down to 12 miles a day in the Sierras and other steep climbs and flat bush-wacks.   

 

I walked out of the wilderness into Seiad Valley, where I got a ride to Yreka from a Karuk tribal member, who guided me to see a salmon at the confluence of the Klammath and the Scott Rivers.  It is reported the salmon, the c’iyaals, have returned to the Klammath Tribes in Oregon, after the removal of the final dam, the Iron Gate, from the Klammath River, a couple of weeks ago.  The Klammath River is temporarily running murky as a consequence to the recent removal of the last dam and locals are not drinking the grey colored water, out of fear of heavy metals and other toxic waste shaken loose by the dam removal, they previously said did not need to be filtered.  More salmon are expected to reach Oregon via the Klammath River in the future, when the water is clearer and easier to navigate and digest, thanks to the anti-industrial fishing regulation of the estuary by the Yurok Tribe.  Although there is some concern regarding the pollution from the dam removal, and some alarmist reports of massive fish-kills, having seen a salmon, in Oregon, water quality is expected to be better than ever.  What is good for the salmon is good for the people. 

 

I am glad I was able to hike the Triple Crown while only about 500 miles, about 6 percent, the longest stretch 100 miles south from Mt. Lassen Volcanic Park, are catastrophically burned and shade-less in the triple digit heat of the Mojave Desert.  Only about half of the burns, especially in the arid and semi-arid regions most prone to wildfire, can be expected to regrow, without replanting.  I am extending my summer exploration to other state trails after hiking the Florida, Ohio and fresh new Arizona Trail, but the Triple Crown is certainly home. 

 

Having hiked the new Arizona trail completed in 2010, grazing permit revenues are to be sued by Trail Associations for a “cache cow”, a bear-proof box filled with quality bottled water, every ten or not more than twenty miles, on trails whose surface water is hopelessly contaminated by the toxins washed off roads, mines and elaborated by the E. coli found in cow manure.  Cattle tanks, that aren’t over six feet high, clean and working, have H. pylori, from cud, that can be filtered, and algae, that may be extremely toxic, and does not protect the surface water exposed to cattle. 

 

Cows just don’t seem to have a moral conscience about contaminating the water exhibited by buffalo and other herd beasts.  To provide the public with potable water on long recreational trails, where the surface water is contaminated by grazing permits, mining or roads for more than ten miles, Trail associations need multiple use sustainable yield grants to maintain stool quality, with a water filter, with water caches - for the entire length of the desert.
