Columbia Institution or the Deaf
§240 Manner of paying expenses; pupils
from District
One half of all expenses attending the instruction of
deaf and dumb persons admitted to the Columbia Institution for the Deaf from
the District of Columbia, under section 238, shall be paid from the revenues of
the District of Columbia and one-half out of the Treasury of the United States,
and estimates for such expenses shall each year be submitted in the regular
estimates for the expenses of the government of the District of Columbia.
